Koreans stage protests against intelligence agency on Constitution Day.

7월 17일 제헌절에 한국인들은 국정원에 항의하는 시위를 했습니다. 

Critics of South Korea's national intelligence agency held "one-person protests" across Seoul on Wednesday. 

대한민국 국가 정보원을 고발하는 "일인시위" 가 수요일 서울을 뒤덮었습니다. 

Protesters condemned the agency's recent scandals and alleged political maneuvering to support the current conservative government. 

시위자들은 국정원의 최근 부정불법 비리에 대하여 고발했고 현 보수정권을 정치적 조직적으로 지지했다고 주장했습니다. 

The National Intelligence Service (NIS) is accused of running an online smear campaign against liberal opposition candidates during the 2012 presidential elections. 

대한민국의 국가정보원은 2012년 대통령 선거 기간 중에 진보 진영의 후보들을 비방하는 내용의 글들을 온라인 상에서 실행한 혐의로 고발당해 기소 되었습니다

Wednesday also marked Constitution Day in South Korea, a national holiday when citizens celebrate the adoption and public declaration of their constitution. 

지난 수요일은 온 시민이 대한민국의 헌법을 공표하고 경축하는 제헌절 입니다. 

Using Korean hashtags that translate to "Constitution Day one-person protest" and "NIS-gate", activists called for more accountability from the NIS.

The following sign reads: "Where did Article 1 of the Constitution go? I'm looking for the democracy the NIS took from me."

The non-profit watchdog organisation People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy (PSPD) tweeted this photo. The sign reads: "Today is Constitution Day. Where did democracy go? NIS investigation, Start it immediately. Dimiss NIS director Nam Jae-joon for political intervention.

Another netizen tweeted: "I held a one-person protest against the NIS while welcoming in Constitution Day in front of the Yi Sun-sin statue at Gwanghwamun Square."

Elsewhere in Seoul, a group of youth rallied against the NIS. They held a sign that read: "We can't contain the anger of a reality that's so different from what we learned."

South Korea has seen continuing protests over the alleged NIS scandal. 

국가정보원의 부정불법 선거개입에 대한 대한민국의 시위는 계속 될 수 있습니다. 

On July 13, more than 200 civil society organisations gathered in Seoul Square outside City Hall to protest what they say was political interference in last year's elections. 

지난 7월 13일, 200 여 시민단체들이 서울광장에 모여, 2012년 18대 대선에 얽힌 국가권력의 정치개입에 대하여 규탄대회를 가졌습니다.
