Vice ministers' meeting with US mulled after 'comfort women' deal

한미일 차관급 회의가 고려되어지고 있다
TOKYO -- Japan, South Korea and the U.S. aim to convene a gathering of vice foreign ministers soon, seeking to use the recent diplomatic thaw between Tokyo and Seoul as an opportunity to discuss regional security issues.

지역 (동북아) 안보 문제를 협의할 기회로 이용해
한미일 외무차관 회의를 조만간 열려고 하고 있다
Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Akitaka Saiki, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken and South Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam plan to hold talks here as early as January. This will likely mark the first gathering of high-level foreign ministry officials from the three countries since Tokyo and Seoul agreed in December to "finally and irreversibly" resolve the issue of wartime "comfort women." Washington had pushed for the two to mend fences.

The meeting will aim to accelerat
e cooperation between the three allies via discussion of unified responses to such security issues as North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile development and China's maritime forays.
이번 고위급 회담의 목적은
한미일 삼개국이 북핵이나 촤이나의 해양 진출 정책 등 지역 현안에 대해 한 목소리로 대응코자 하는 것이다
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, U.S. President Barack Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye are considering meeting on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit to be held in Washington on March 31 and April 1. The meeting's agenda may be discussed by the vice foreign ministers as well.
근혜-오바마-아베는 3월31일과 4월1일에 워싱턴에서 핵안보 정상회의를 갖을 예정이며 회담의 의제는 삼개국 외무차관회의에서 논의될 예정이다
